Look at Donald Glover’s recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
The star talked about the many projects he has in the works including the recent premiere of Atlanta’s second season as well as his upcoming role as a young “Lando” in the highly-anticipated Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Then Colbert played him a viral video of a young girl named Charity. In the video Charity remixes the lyrics to Glover’s hit “Redbone” in order to create a cute jingle to sell her selection of Thin Mints and Tagalongs.
After watching the clip, Glover expressed that he never pictured his song would be used as a sales pitch for cookies, but he’s not mad at it at all:
“Childish Gambino’s for the children, man.”
“It’s beautiful, but it’s also crazy to me. I never was like, I’ll make this and then one day a girl will sell Girl Scout cookies to it… It’s pretty great. I was touched.”
