During his acceptance speech, Kobe said: “I mean, as basketball players, we are really supposed to shut up and dribble. But I am glad we do a little bit more than that.” It was a subtle hint at Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who told NBA players LeBron James and Kevin Durant to “shut up and dribble” after those players criticized Donald Trump in a video on YouTube.
“Look, there might be a cautionary lesson in LeBron for kids: This is what happens when you attempt to leave high school a year early to join the NBA, and it’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid a hundred-million dollars a year to bounce a ball.” – Laura Ingraham said. Next she told she was referring to a book she wrote, but everyone understood what did she mean.
James congratulated Bryant on Twitter and рosted: “Salute Kobe Bryant on that Oscar!”
