Former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams is a survivor who did not give up on love and now Oprah’s network will give us an inside look into the singer’s life and relationship with her fiancé Pastor Chad Johnson.
Williams and Johnson have signed on for an unscripted reality show on OWN, but no more details have been released, reports the Jasmine Brand.
Williams is that one member of the famous singing trio, starring Beyonce and Kelly Rowland, that we really don’t know too much about.
But Williams has a flourishing brand called Believe at Home by Michelle Williams, which is a home bedding collection.
She’s also battled depression. On an appearance on The Talk, Williams admitted that her depression eventually turned suicidal thoughts after the group disbanded.
Williams spoke out about the need for a more open discussion of mental illness, saying, “I think at the age of 25, had I had a name to what I was feeling at the time, I would have disclosed that I’ve been suffering from depression.”
She said she met the sports chaplain in 2017 at a spiritual retreat in Arizona. Williams said she wanted to keep her focus on the retreat, but the two hit it off and the rest is history.
“I mean, he was cute, but I did not go to flirt with the pastor!”
Johnson was really taken by Williams too.
“I tried to roll in with some mac daddy game — and I tried to flirt a little bit and said something like, ‘How about you and I connect sometime?’ And right away, she texted right back with one word and six question marks behind it: ‘Connect??????’”, said Johnson during an interview with People magazine.
He continued on saying, “I thought she had dissed me. So, I was embarrassed, and I didn’t reach back out to her because I thought I’d ruined the friendship.”
Johnson has also come under fire from critics accusing him and his family members of being Donald Trump supporters.
We know there’s so much more to this story so we can’t wait to get all the goods on their new show.
